LUBBOCK, Texas (February 12, 2022) – In their penultimate meet of the 2022 indoor track & field regular season, Lubbock Christian University had another strong performance and recorded the sixth NCAA provisional mark of the season.
Keitron Boyd recorded the provisional mark in the 200-meter. He finished the race with a time of 21.51s, which, when adjusted for altitude is 21.58s and is still good enough to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship.
Boyd also ran well in the 400-meter, where he set a new persona best. He completed the race in a time of 48.66s, which placed him fourth overall and is just .06 away from another provisional mark.
On the women’s side, the best performance came from Marissa Perez, who placed seventh in the 5000-meter with a time of 19:38.16.

Lubbock Christian will have one more regular season meet before competing at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships Feb. 25-27.
